Roger joined Sarah full time at the shop after retiring from Goodyear as an electrician. As he likes to say "He now works at two jobs instead of three!" (His other job is taking care of a sheep herd. But that's another story!) Roger creates one-of-a-kind furniture that he sells through the shop. He doesn't use patterns, and all of his work is his own design. Some of the furniture is made from wood that is recycled or reclaimed lumber. If a piece is made from new wood, it is finished with tung oil or old-fashioned milk paint.
Roger does all the custom picture framing. He can do anything they do in the "big" stores, only he does it with a personal touch. He will sit down with you and help you pick out everything from the molding for the frame to selecting a mat color. He has framed family photos, baby pictures, wedding pictures, (yes, he does the multiple openings), counted cross stitch, flags, T-shirts, old prints and death certificates, marriage certificates, birth certificates, prints and original art work. These are just a few of the things he can frame. He also makes shadow boxes, and boxes you can open and add items.
Pictured below is just a sampling of some of his work. He also does custom pieces! |
