About Us

Roger and Sarah Strawn DeVader have owned and operated "Sarah's" in some form for over 25 years in Holton, Kansas.

In the beginning, Sarah taught classes in a studio setting above an antique store. She also grew, collected and dried flowers and herbs. Their son Matt helped out when he was not in school.  When the opportunity came to rent space on the ground floor, they moved their shop to the south side of the town square. By this time Sarah was selling gifts , handmade items and much more.  After eight short years they had out grown this space, so when a bigger building became available they moved again. 

This larger space allowed Sarah to spread out her elaborate displays and assist customers in decorating their own homes.  This new store and current location allowed for lots of merchandise from collectibles, beautiful silk flowers, fun gift items, personal skin care and home decor in several styles.
  
In the fall of 2009 yarn was added.  We now offer a diverse selection of yarn as well as knitting needles, crochet hooks, patterns and other notions.

We now teach classes in painting, knitting, crochet, basket weaving, soap making, and polymer clay.

Sarah's Enchanted Cottage is located on the west side of Holton's beautiful town square. If visiting Holton for the first time you will find several locally owned eateries, a quilt shop, dime store, western wear, antique and many other specialty shops.
